Finca Cultivares
A roastery in your city · washed · Caturra
Roasteries pre-sell the coffee of a specific harvest. With that money they pay their producers directly and no longer have to pre-finance the green coffee themselves for months.
We are currently preparing the first harvest campaign with a pilot roastery.

Anyone who buys green coffee directly from the producer usually pays before or at shipment. The roasted coffee is then sold week by week, often over a whole year. Today, small roasteries finance this gap out of their own pocket or through importers, with interest and mark-ups.
Roasteries described this to us again and again in our interviews. Many would like to buy more directly, but fail precisely because of this pre-financing, or have to take out expensive loans year after year.
Taking money for coffee that has not been harvested yet comes close to questions that usually concern banks: What counts as a deposit, what applies to cancellations, what happens if a harvest fails? We take that headache off your hands. Contracts, terms and the payment flow come ready-made, and the money never sits with us.
Customers are charged automatically, and only once the minimum target has been reached. After that you see for every person which quantity is due when, and we also handle the organisation for replacement coffee or delays. No spreadsheet to maintain for 18 months.
Your customers get an account with a delivery schedule and news from the harvest. And anyone who has pre-bought from one roastery discovers the harvests of the others. Every campaign in the network brings new people to all roasteries.
It decides which producer and which harvest the coffee comes from, at what price it is offered and from which amount the roastery will buy.
You choose a quantity, a single bag is enough. Nothing is charged at this point.
Once the minimum target is reached, payments are collected. The money goes through a regulated payment provider directly to the roastery, which uses it to pay the producer.
As soon as the coffee has arrived, the roastery roasts it and sends you your quantity in instalments, as you need it.
You pay for the harvest with your customers' money instead of financing it for months from your own funds or with loans.
Instead of having an importer advance the harvest, you pay the producer yourself. The money for it comes from the pre-sale.
Anyone who pre-buys a harvest stays with you for a year and knows the story behind the coffee. You only pay us if your campaign reaches its target.
Your purchase is the reason your roastery can buy directly from the producer. You receive your coffee freshly roasted, delivered in instalments.
Because the quantity is fixed before the harvest is shipped, the producer can plan. That leaves room for quality and for farming that is still viable in ten years.
Everyone who pre-buys the same harvest follows it together: from the farm through shipping to the first roast. With news from the producer and the moment the first cup is ready.
The quantity is fixed before the harvest is shipped. That gives security for the work on the farm.
The purchase contract for the green coffee stays between roastery and producer. We do not interfere in that relationship.
Every campaign carries the producer's name. Customers learn who grew their coffee.

You are buying coffee. We promise nothing more, and we keep exactly that promise.
Then the purchase does not go ahead. Your payment method is not charged and you do not need to do anything.
As much as you like. A single bag is enough. The upper limit is roughly one year's consumption.
As soon as the harvest has arrived at the roastery. Depending on the origin, this takes a few months after the campaign ends. After that it is delivered in instalments, freshly roasted.
Then the roastery delivers a comparable coffee. Exactly how it handles this is stated in the terms of each campaign before you buy.
We receive a commission on the volume of a campaign, and only if it reaches its minimum target. Coffee drinkers pay no fees to us.
Do you buy directly from producers, or would you like to? Is liquidity a problem for you when doing so? Then let's plan your first campaign together, from choosing the harvest to the campaign page.
